Our commitment
CG Hylton Inc. works with employers on inclusive workplaces. It would be inconsistent to advise on that and run a website people cannot use.
We want everyone to be able to read our content, understand our services, contact us, and apply for a job here, regardless of disability or the technology they use.
What we aim for
We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility legislation across Canada, including the Accessible Canada Act. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we describe our position as working toward AA rather than claiming full conformance.
What we have done
The new website was built with these things in place:
- Keyboard access. All navigation, menus, accordions, and forms can be operated without a mouse, and a visible focus indicator shows where you are.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches on every page.
- Semantic structure. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate them.
- Image descriptions. Meaningful images carry alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
- Labelled forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in text, not by colour alone, and are announced to assistive technology.
- Colour contrast. Body text and interface elements are designed to meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Responsive and zoomable. The site reflows down to small screens and remains usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
We would rather tell you what does not work yet than claim everything does.
- Animations and motion. The site uses scroll-reveal effects, carousels, and animated indicators. We have not yet fully audited these against the "reduce motion" operating system setting. If you have motion sensitivity, please contact us — we can deliver the content you need directly.
- Older articles. Some content migrated from our previous website may have inconsistent heading structure or missing image descriptions. We are working through it.
- Third-party components. Our forms use an anti-spam check provided by Cloudflare. We do not control its accessibility.
- Documents. Some PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need one in an accessible format, ask and we will provide it.
If something does not work
If you hit a barrier on this website, please tell us. We will help you get what you need directly, and we will fix the underlying problem.
It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what technology you were using — but please get in touch either way rather than not at all.
We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test as we build, we act on the problems people report to us, and we review the site periodically.
